Frequently
Asked Questions
1. How can I reach you?

You need to complete the form on the bottom of each page and send me it. Please leave me a message with your name, email address, and mobile number. I will contact you as soon as possible.
2. What language are you using in session?

I've been providing psychotherapy in both Korean and English as a bilingual therapist. I just hope you understand me using English as a second language. One thing I realized in the U.S. is that effective psychotherapy is not through perfect language skills but through the strong therapeutic relationship.

3. Can you keep confidentiality?

Yes. Confidentiality is essential in psychotherapy. I will not breach confidentiality in my professional and ethical standards. I will not release any information without your singed consent. Exceptions might be a certain situation such as child abuse or specific plan to harm yourself or others.

4. What is the length and frequency of our sessions?

My standard sessions are 55 minutes and take place weekly.

5. How much is the session fee?

The session fees vary according to therapy type. I suggest very reasonable fees based on my clinical experience over eighteen years. The information related to fees would be provided when you contact me.

6. What kinds of payment do you accept?
Currently I accept cash or wire-transfer. You will be charged before your session.

7. Is there a sliding scale?

No. I do not offer a sliding scale.

8. Do you bill insurance?

No. Currently I do not bill insurance. However, I can provide monthly receipts if you would like to submit them to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

9. Where do I park?

There is a parking lot and 30 minutes are free for visitor in my private practice building.

10. Can I cancel a session?
Yes. You can cancel when you have any emergent situation. However, if you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance or do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be required to pay partial or full cost of the session. I just would like to remind you that the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of a time especially for you.
